Time travel, which is everyone's dream, is possible in theory. According to Einstein’s general relativity theory, you can travel in time via wormholes. Wormholes provide you to wrap the timeline and go back or forward at the time. Therefore, wormholes make time travel possible, at least, in theory. Unfortunately, just like everything that is exciting, time travel also comes with a price. Also, time traveling can cause several problems. The problems it might cause can be evaluated and analyzed in terms of social problems, and individual problems.

Social problems are the primary effect that is a result of time travel. Even if it sounds unrelated, if we examine the relationship between religion and time travel, we can see that time travel can lead to serious management problems. Governments of many countries are based on religion, just like the Persian government. Although countries do not use religion as a tool of governance, they can sometimes use it as a tool of manipulation. We know that if time travel was practically possible, many people would want to travel to the past so that they could witness the truth about religions, but we also know that every religion contradicts the other one. This means that only one religion can be true. Learning the truth can lead to authority loss or even a war in countries that are governed via religion.

Just like social problems, there would be problems on the individual level as well in terms of “changing the timeline”. Traveling to the past and avoiding your ridiculous mistakes might seem like a wonderful idea, but the consequences can be sad or even deadly. Let’s make this clear with an example. Assume that you had a friend who bullied you in high school. You once had a fight with him, but he punched you in the face and caused you to cry like a baby. However, now you want to go back in time and punch him back. Since we assume that time travel is practically possible, you did it. You went back in time and punched the bully right on his face. Unfortunately, when you go back to the time that you actually were, you were dead because you changed the timeline by going to the past. Punching the bully caused him to get angry. Eventually, he got a knife and stabbed you. Another example of this can be the case in the movie “Back to The Future”. In the movie “Back to The Future”, Marty goes back in time, and her mother falls in love with him in the past, but this causes Marty to never exist. This is because he caused her mom to never marry his father. Therefore, he changed the timeline. So, traveling to the past to undo your mistakes can cause death.

In conclusion, time travel might sound fun before seeing the rest of the iceberg, but it's as dangerous as it sounds fun. It can cause many problems such as individual problems and social problems. Even if those are so bad, those effects are just the prominent ones. These two major effects can also cause other effects. Hence, it would be a terrible thing if the time machine was invented.
